Solution for Dead keyboard with paraView

When using paraView/Foam of version 2.4 for a few days on Fedora 8, I found that I cannot edit any text or string appeared in the text edit box.

Here is a solution:

edit the .scim/config file in your home direcitory, find the line

/FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = false

change it to

/FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = true

Then log out of the system and relog in. It will work well. If not please restart your system.
