Run Du

Hi, I am Run Du (杜润). You could call me “ah-ˈdo” (“阿杜” in Chinese) or Martin as my English name. Although the “ah-do” is pronounced the same as a famous Singaporean singer Ado, I don’t sing like him or his voice. I am a PhD candidate at Southwest Jiao Tong University (西南交通大学), in mechanical engineering, studying on pulsation dampers in hydraulic systems. I have finished my oral defense on July 11th, 2010.

I always use Linux to do my research, including CFD computation with OpenFOAM and post-process with ParaView, writing articles and dissertation with vi and latex, processing data with gnuplot and octave.

I like music, classic, popular, country, rock n’ roll, whatever.
